The Queensland University of Technology Association of Law Students (QUOTALS) offers membership to Law and Justice students. QUOTALS, a student body, organises a number of social and career-oriented events including the Law Ball, Drinks with the Profession cocktail party, the Law Careers Fair, recruitment sessions with law firms and sporting events. While study is a priority, QUT provides facilities to help students stay fit and have some fun. Students can make the most of the Cultural Precinct consisting of the QUT Art Museum and the Gardens Theatre as well as a host of Student Guild facilities. If sport is your favourite way to relax, then the QUT Student Guild operates an indoor heated swimming pool, gym and squash courts at the Gardens Point campus. They offer many activities at the Kelvin Grove campus as well. Visit the Guild's web site to find out more about their services. The School of Law is a short distance to the neighbouring City Botanic Gardens which are a popular location for lunch and exercise. The new cross-river footbridge is on the Law School's doorstep and links QUT with South Bank Parklands and the Queensland Cultural Centre. Artisans & Cafe Merlo at Gardens Point and Beadles at Kelvin Grove offer the true alfresco café experience in true Brisbane style. Both are popular meeting points. All the entertainment facilities of the city are just minutes away from Gardens Point or a short bus ride into the city from Kelvin Grove. Both campus have medical centres and the Kelvin Grove campus holds a number of trainee clinics including podiatry and optometry.
