This program takes students from the Faculty of Law, (usually final year students) to do a research project for a Member of the Legislative Assembly or for the research staff of one of the Parliamentary Committees. The program operates during Semester 2 of each year.

In 2001, four QUT students from this Faculty were accepted into the program. These students conducted research in :

  • youth crime
  • drug addiction and property crime
  • privacy laws and tenancy databases
  • reform of law of medical negligence

The program gives course credit of 12cp to participants.
