LEX Prize Draw Terms & Conditions
QUT Faculty of Law students who have completed a Learning Experience Survey (LEX) for each of their units in the LEX survey periods between 27 September 2008 and 18 October 2008 will be entered into a prize draw to win one of twenty student double passes to the Southbank Cinema Complex.
- Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms & conditions. Any entry not complying with these terms & conditions is invalid.
- The Promoter is the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) of 2 George Street, Brisbane, QLD, 4000.
- Entry is open to all QUT Faculty of Law students currently enrolled in undergraduate and/or postgraduate coursework units in the teaching periods: 5TP4, 6TP3, 5TP5, 6TP4, 5TP6, 5TP7, SEM 2, 6TP5, 5TP8, 6TP6, 5TP9.
- Entrants must complete a Learning Experience Survey (LEX) for each unit in which they are enrolled for a teaching period, in order to be eligible to enter the prize draw.
- Students enrolled in more than one teaching period over the prize draw period, may enter more than once as long as the other conditions of entry are met.
- QUT reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who subverts or attempts to subvert the entry process or who submits an entry not in accordance with these terms & conditions.
- The survey and associated prize draw commences at 9.00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on 27 September 2008 and closes at 5.00pm AEST on 18 October 2008. Twenty randomly selected respondents who are entered into the draw will be drawn in the week commencing 22 October 2008 at Kelvin Grove Campus, Brisbane, QLD, 4000.
- 'Prize' is a student double pass to the Southbank Cinema Complex (valued at approximately $11.00).
- Prize is not transferable and cannot be taken as cash.
- Prize value is correct at time of publication, but no responsibility is taken for any variation in the value of the prize.
- QUT will not be held responsible for the loss, theft or damage to any prize after it has been awarded, or for any injury that results directly or indirectly from this promotion.
- If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond QUT's control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the promotion, QUT reserves the right in its sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory Authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. QUT may in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
- QUT is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information, caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission.
- Winners will be notified of how to collect their prize within 30 days of the competition draw date, and QUT Faculty of Law will make reasonable attempts to contact the prize winners by email or phone.
- QUT's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to.
- QUT can amend the terms & conditions of the prize draw without prior notice.
- These terms & conditions do not supplement or amend QUT's standard terms & conditions and the Information Facilities Rules which continue to apply.
- The names of winners will be published on the the QUT Faculty of Law website for a period of at least 3 months after the prize draw.
- Arrangement for collection of prizes will be advised by the Assistant Dean Teaching & Learning, Faculty of Law following the date of the prize draw. Unclaimed prizes will be kept for 3 months after the winners are drawn. If unclaimed after that time another winner will be drawn. Prizes will not jackpot.
