Welcome to the QUT Faculty of Law - a place which creates opportunities for you to enter a wide variety of fascinating careers including lawyers, federal police officers, intelligence officers, barristers and many more professions, particularly if you undertake a double degree.

We believe that the QUT Faculty of Law offers the best options for you to enter a career in the law or criminal justice related professions. Academic staff are experienced in their professions and continue to gain workplace experience through collaborations, special secondments, consultancy, research, committee and board memberships. Many are authors whose research is published nationally and internationally.

Emphasis is also placed on teaching methods to ensure students benefit from the best-practice teaching in legal and justice education.

The Faculty works to carefully design courses containing a balance of theory, practice and generic skills. Courses are updated through consultation with potential employers and integration of information technologies. Student feedback into the design and assessment of units is also considered.
