The Careers and Employment Division of QUT have developed an extensive online site that will help plan, manage, maximise and prepare for your chosen career. The site consists of animations, activities, simulations, chat rooms and workbooks that can help you gainthe most from your study here at QUT.

There are 9 sections of the Careers site:

  1. Managing - Managing Your Career presents a 21st century model of career development and looks at some of the concepts behind developing and planning your career in terms of the new world of work.
  2. Changing - Changing Career Paths looks specifically at changing your career path and some steps to take to help you do this effectively.
  3. Maximising - Maximising your Career provides you with some ideas on what to do while you are at QUT in order to maximise your career opportunities.
  4. Strengths - Personal Strengths helps you identify and assess the particular strengths, which have an impact on your career development.
  5. Opportunities - Career Opportunities provides you with resources and strategies on where and how to search for career information.
  6. Job Hunting - Hunting for Jobs helps you go about effective job hunting.
  7. Applying - Applying for Jobs gives you assistance with writing application letters, resumes and addressing selection criteria both in print and electronic formats.
  8. Interviews - Job Interviews helps you to prepare for interviews.
  9. Where to - Where to Now? gives you assistance with what to do next after you have worked through all or some of the material.
