ProfessorBCom, LLB (Hons) (UQ), LLM (Cantab Contact:Room: C745 (Gardens Point campus) Lindy Willmott graduated with first class honours in law from the University of Queensland. She joined the Law Faculty in 1986 and teaches in medico-legal issues (both in the undergraduate and postgraduate course) as well as in the law of contracts. She also supervises a number of PhD students in the area of health law. Lindy is an active member of the Health LawResearch Program in the Law Faculty and publishes extensively in the area of health law, specialising in end-of-life decision-making and guardianship law. Lindy is a part-time member of the Guardianship and Administration Tribunal, being appointed to that role in January 2005. She has had experience in practice in the area of securities law and has been both a full-time and part-time member of the Queensland Law Reform Commission from 1990-1994. While at the Law Reform Commission she was principally involved in reform of de facto relationships law and of the real property legislation in Queensland. Lindy is the co-author of the text De Facto Relationships Law in Australia, and is co-author of the texts Contract Law, Mortgages Law in Australia, the Annotated Consumer Credit Code, and Real and Personal Securities. She has also published articles in the area of property, securities and de facto relationships law. More recently, Lindy's research has been in health law, particularly the law relating to end of life issues. Units currently taught:Research Interests:
