Dr Sharon Hayes has degrees in political science, ethics and philosophy. Her prior experience includes research on corruption and public sector ethics for the Crime and Misconduct Commission, and she has also taught ethics, criminal justice policy, moral philosophy, political theory and social theory at Griffith University, Tulane University, The University of Queensland and QUT. Sharon is a Fellow of the International Institute for Public Ethics and was a founding lay member of the Queensland Legal Practice Tribunal.
Sharon's current research interests include ethics and the teaching and learning of ethics, the nexus between sex, crime and morality, sexuality in education, creating queer spaces on the internet, and same-sex intimate partner violence. Recent publications and conference papers include:
