Contact:Room: C423 (Gardens Point campus) Iola commenced work at QUT in 1995 in the School of Mechanical, Manufacturing & Medical Engineering in the Faculty of Built Environment & Engineering where she took an active role in the recruitment of international students and development of international agreements with institutions in Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Singapore. During this time Iola completed a Master of Educational Administration from the University of Queensland, with her major thesis entitled "A Cost Benefit Analysis of Export Education from a School Perspective". During her time with MMME Iola published several articles on engineering education and interntionalisation of education. In 2006 Iola joined the Faculty of Law, working with the Assistant Dean (International, Commercial and Community Engagement) where she has been actively involved in international student recruitment in Malaysia and development of collaborative projects in China, India and Malaysia. She also managed the Faculty's local projects for short courses, consultancies and corporate award progams, as well as coordinating the Faculty's Free Public Lecture Series. In May 2009 Iola was appointed Director (International, Commercial and Community Engagement) in the Faculty. Key areas for this portfolio are as follows: International
