Law School Sessional Academic Staff |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
To be employed as a sessional academic staff member in the Law School at QUT, you must first become part of the Law School's approved Sessional Academic Staff Pool. An application form along with your CV, certified copies of academic records and at least one (1) written reference, must be submitted to the Law School. If an applicant is considered to be suitable, having regard to the particular teaching needs of the Law School at the time, an interview with the Law School will be arranged. Interviews will generally occur in late April and November of any year. Normally, as a minimum requirement, the applicant should hold an LLB (Hons), or equivalent, and have relevant professional experience or a higher degree. You will receive written advice as to the outcome of your application. Being part of the approved pool, means that you are available for sessional work, but does not mean that you are automatically employed. Unit Coordinators will consult this pool when filling any vacancies for sessional staff positions in their teaching teams each semester. Should any teaching positions arise in your areas of interest and expertise, you will be contacted by the relevant Unit Coordinators prior to the commencement of the semester. To assist in the completion of your application form, please refer to the list of units offered by the Law School. For further enquiries regarding sessional academic work with the Law School please phone (07) 3138 2841 or email: law_sessionalstaff@qut.edu.au |
