There are many reasons for studying law & justice at QUT including :

  • support for transition from school to 1st year through mentoring schemes. Also mentoring in other years
  • scholarships - great way to help you through Unviersity
  • flexible learning - you can download your lectures onto your ipod
  • work experience - in leading law firms, easy walk from the campus
  • overseas opportunities - via a great student exchange progam
  • QUT Law & Justice Student Association (QUOTALS) active in promoting social events
  • facilities - our electronic moot court , 24 hour computer lab and a law library
  • staff expertise - includes nationally and internationally recognised lecturers
  • mooting or "mock trial" - chance to travel overseas and compete internationally
  • equity - Faculty of Law is recognised for it's equity policy
  • location - in the CBD and walking distance to relevant courts and organsiations such as law firms or the police

One of our unique aspects at the QUT Faculty of Law is the teaching techologies we have developed, in house, over the years.

In addition to the traditional lectures and tutorials, we have developed several specific software to help teach law and justice students via their computers.

Examples of this are Crimson Parrot , Merlin Affair and Air Gondwana
